Broad accents of the local kind came through the office wall at 08.24.

The Morning Shift…

Alex & Robert confront Soundscapes At The Duck Room – Venality Triumphs Live! & the Starless guitar theme. Probably, this worked better as an event rather than as music-to-be-heard-in-isolation from its time & space & persons.

Starlight I & II tickled gently.

12.03    A cake break around the wobbly DGM pine kitchen table, first acquired for
No. 7, Deodar Road, Putney in 1974. The remainder of David’s birthday cake from yesterday is our treat of the day.

The taste of sponge, jam & cream is not impaired by the oil fumes oozing from the boiler, a result of a duff flue in this cheap & nasty 1930s breezeblock construction, replacing a cottage that burned down.

… now in SoundWorld II with the The Colours of ProjeKct Six: Fripp & Adrian’s Money Shots – Savage Juxtapositions of Burning Joy. This is David’s compilation pick of F&A excerpts from the recent StudioBelew recordings.

12.43  F&A are burning & squirtling away. A smorgasbord buffet of tasty appetisers for the main courses on offer.

18.03  David & Alex are dribbling. The Vicar has been giving them a hard time. Both are now leaving.

19.23  Sit on the floor and do nothing!

21.40  Guitar practising & now some computing with the last section of Chattanooga: Soundscapes For Train Catchers underway: Requiem.

22.10 Nashville. This is captivating me, although I had no sense at the time of what it might be like.

23.05 A little more practising. Now the floor is beckoning.
